Managing Director,
Head of Advisory Services
Pierre is the Managing Director of the Climate Platform. He has provided consulting services to various Multilateral Development Banks and UN organizations. He served at the Green Climate Fund as Senior Renewable Energy Specialist and GCF Global Coordinator of the Climate Investment Platform. His practice areas include structuring climate finance deals, technical and strategic advisory in climate finance, policy advisory and renewable energy.
Dr Solomon Asfaw
Director for Evaluation, Monitoring
and Learning
Dr. Solomon is a Director for Evaluation, Monitoring and Learning division of the Climate Platform. He has over 18 years of experience working with Multilateral Development Banks and UN Organisation. He served at the Green Climate Fund and European Investment Bank as Senior Evaluator as well as worked at FAO of the UN as Economist and Strategic Program Advisor. Dr Solomon holds a PhD in Economics and his practice areas include design and evaluation of climate change, sustainable development, agriculture, and social sector programs and programmatic modalities.
Dr William Fonta
Lead, Climate Change Adaptation
Prior to joining the Climate Platform William served as Senior Adaptation Specialist at the African Development Bank (AfDB), a position he held from October 2018 to October 2022. His field experience covers more than two and a half decades of in-country work and consultantship in more than 25 countries across Africa, including longer-term assignments in Nigeria, Ghana, Burkina Faso, Senegal, and Côte d’Iviore. William’s research areas include Climate Change Economics, Public and Development Finances, Economics of Natural Resources Management, Rural Development and Finance, and Welfare Economics. He has co-authored more 100 peer-reviewed journal articles, monographs, discussion papers, and book chapters.
Marie-Caroline Lamare
Structuring, Fiduciary and Development Specialist
Caroline is a seasoned climate finance and fiduciary expert with hands-on experience in developing environmental projects. Before joining the Climate Platform, she worked as a project manager in the civil society, where she successfully led efforts to coordinate the implementation of sustainable development goals and raise awareness for climate action. Prior to that, she served as a financial auditor at Mazars in Paris. Caroline’s educational background includes a bachelor’s degree in economics and a master’s degree in Audits and Management Controls.
Asinty Mukete
Climate Operations and Gender Specialist
Asinty is a climate operations and gender professional with prior experience in organisational operations, environmental management, climate research, and trade finance. Her areas of focus are gender equality, social inclusion, social protection and environmental impacts across climate finance. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Management from the University of Manchester and is pursuing graduate studies in Data Science.
Saiful Alam
IT Solutions Development Oficer
Saiful is a Professional Front end Developer with Advanced IT skills. He has been active on web development since 2019. At the platform his practice areas include the development of new IT solutions and productivity tools to enable swift solution delivery to clients.
