The Climate Platform is a private sector vehicle for achieving the goals of
the Paris Agreement. The elevation of human dignity through the alleviation
of climate risk and vulnerabilities are of paramount concern to the Climate
Platform. The escalating nature of the climate emergency is driving the need
for easier and swifter access to climate finance for countries in the
developing world. The Climate Platform is dedicated to acting and building
relationships to deliver sustainable climate impacts where they are most
needed.

The Crypto Climate Fund (CCF) is an initiative of the Climate Platform to
improve access and affordability of climate finance while boosting benefits
for end beneficiaries. The initiative proposes and facilitates the
implementation of an approach for financing climate projects that
eliminates the need for hedging costs while also reducing the number of
intermediaries across the climate finance value chain. CCF is a new vehicle
with the ambition to boost Renewable Energy and Agriculture projects
around the world, to foster the transition to clean energy and improve food
security in regions affected by climate change. CCF supports the Lincoln
Crypto Token (LIC) Project, a crypto venture launched in March 2022 with
market capitalization now exceeding USD 190 million. LIC aims to raise
awareness on the global state of climate emergency, a purpose supported
by the Climate Platform. To translate LIC current market capitalization in
liquidity for climate projects, the LIC Project is seeking the services of
qualified marketing and social media consultants that would drive the
growth of the network of users for the crypto token. The work of the marketing
and social media consultant will be performed remotely.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The selected consultant will market LIC across social media platforms and
blogs aiming specifically at crypto communities and digital assets holders
for the current trading pairs of LIC. The overall purpose of the assignment is
to grow the community of LIC users to 10,000 new users. LIC currently can be
swapped against BNB, DOGECOIN, BUSD, XRP and ETH on two exchanges:
CCX.earth and Pancakeswap. The consultant will process administrative
documents for listing LIC on other exchanges. The consultant will compile
and post promotion articles as well as respond to queries. The consultant
will initiate and moderate a Telegram Channel for LIC. Main deliverables for
the assignment are:
• A minimum of 2 promotion articles compiled and posted on relevant
platforms per week
• Targeted and relevant marketing actions that translate into users
holding LIC are performed daily
• Moderation of LIC Telegram channel and posting of articles on the
same
• Organize and deliver social media events with the aim to promote LIC

QUALIFICATIONS

The following qualifications are not all mandatory for the job, the successful
consultants should however be able to combine at least 70% of the
requirements to fit with the opportunity.
• Ability to work autonomously with minimum supervision
• Relevant experience in social media marketing
• Knowledge on how to grow social communities on the web is essential
• General knowledge of the crypto industries, preferably having owned
or invested in crypto assets before
• General knowledge about NFTs
• Conversant with social media outreach tools (Facebook, Twitter,
Instagram, Telegram)
• Excellent English writing skills, successful experience in writing articles
would be a great advantage
• Willingness and ability to work in a start-up phase for a new project
• Result oriented and taking actions that are result-driven
• High work ethic

The Climate Platform is seeking highly skilled candidates with sectoral knowledge and expertise to join our Roster of Consultants for work on climate-related assignments.

The Climate Platform is a private sector vehicle for achieving the goals of the Paris Agreement. We work with international agencies such as the World Bank, the African Development Bank (AfDB), the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), the Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI) and many more to deliver services across the climate value chain. Our work contributes to reducing greenhouse gas emissions and to enhancing the climate-resilience of the most vulnerable people and communities in Africa, Asia, Latin America and Small-Island Developing States (SIDS). RESPONSIBILITIES

Participate in stakeholder consultations at global/regional/national levels.
Provide technical services, based on candidate’s sectoral expertise, to develop, review and contribute to Feasibility Studies, Evaluation Reports, Concept Notes, Funding Proposals, Readiness Proposals etc.
Provide responses to clients’ comments, in area of expertise, on draft versions of the Climate Platform’s products.
Collaborate effectively with other members of the consultancy team throughout the duration of assignments.
Uphold the values of the Climate Platform and maintain the highest levels of integrity and professionalism while undertaking activities related to the contracted assignment.

QUALIFICATIONS

Advanced University degree, or University degree with experience and training/courses in one or more of the following disciplines: climate change, environmental studies, agriculture, development studies, gender, energy, engineering, public health, or related area.
A minimum of 2 years postgraduate job-related experience in climate change, environmental management, agriculture, forestry, international development, renewable energy, public health, water security or related area.
Experience working on climate change mitigation and/or adaptation projects or programmes.
Progressive experience in developing climate-related knowledge products is essential.
Proven experience and ability to draft project proposals for the Green Climate Fund (GCF), the Global Environment Facility (GEF) and/or the Adaptation Fund (AF).
Proven ability to coordinate across multiple stakeholders.
Excellent communication skills.
Familiarity and work experience in Africa, Asia, Latin America or SIDS.
Excellent written and spoken English.
Knowledge of other UN languages, especially French and Spanish, besides English is highly desirable.
Proficiency in Windows, MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).

For an assignment with one of our clients we are seeking a consultant to join our team. The proposed activities will contribute to making a gap assessment for readiness support for the financial sector in Latin America. Advisory services will be provided on the accreditation scope, and an action plan related to the accreditation application to the GCF.

Responsibilities

• Organize and participate in consultations with key stakeholders

• Contribute to assessments of the entity’s conformity at the institutional level with GCF’s Basic Fiduciary Standards and Specialized Fiduciary Services

• Contribute to assessments of the entity’s institutional capacities for conformity with GCF’s Environmental and Social Safeguards standards and risk categories, and gender policy

• Support the project team in the development of the action plan for the entity’s accreditation application

Required competencies

• Fluent in Spanish and English

• Experience of working on GCF processes, prior experience in accreditation works will be a plus

• Knowledge of the Latin American financial sector

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
